Summer Internship and updates

For the summer of 2015, I will be interning for a PR/Marketing company called Public NYC. I'm excited and of course, a little nervous! I hope that it'll be a great experience to learn from and gain connections.

As for my current work, I've been focusing on web design this semester and dabbling in interior architecture to learn more about space and interaction to gain familiarity in my father's field of work. Over the summer, I will be photographing sites and updating my Dad's company website on my free time.

These are some of the things I've been working on for web design:

(These sites are still in progress and due on May 8th, the final day of the semester!)

Skidmore Gallery      Mockup

Skidmore Gallery is a big and tedious coding project for my web design class, and my partner is Vandita Dhoot. In the initial stages of creating mockups, the both of us and our teacher decided to go with my design mockup.

Architecture Lecture Series Poster

This project from my Intermediate Typography class took up most of my semester so far. I have been working on this for more than a month. This is a glimpse of my development, and the final product at the end. The final product was printed on an epson 11880 printer on  validation matte paper, at 20 x 30 inches. It will be on display for about a week!

After my sophomore seminar class today, I was told that March-May is when companies are looking for beginner designers and artists to join their team. I guess I'm applying for internships at the right time then! I designed my resume last week, and applied to internships throughout this week. I'm continuing to apply as I see more opportunities come up. Wish me luck! New York City is a competitive city for sure!
